As the White Sox look for their perfect Garrett Crochet trade suitor, the Cubs and Reds have thrown their names into the mix.

Garrett Crochet’s move from the bullpen to the rotation for the Chicago White Sox turned out to be so successful that the left-hander quickly emerged as a pitcher in high demand leading up to the July 30 trade deadline.

Per MLB insider Jon Morosi, the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds are among the "viable" clubs to add Crochet. That means that, of all the teams, it looks more and more likely that Crochet is headed to the NL Central.

Crochet was one of the biggest names floated as a trade candidate in MLB rumors over the summer. However, the 6-foot-6 southpaw informed teams he wouldn’t pitch in the postseason without a contract extension. With Crochet well past his career-high for innings pitched, clubs held off on a pursuit until now.
