Kohl’s reported that its net sales were down nearly 9 percent during the third quarter of the fiscal year compared to 2023.

Kohl’s will be closing its store location in Stoughton, Massachusetts in January, the department store chain confirmed.

STOUGHTON - A Kohl's department store south of Boston will be closing its doors not long after the holiday shopping season ends. Kolh's said it is shuttering its Stoughton store at 501 Technology Center Dr. on Jan. 18, 2025. That location is also home to a Sephora beauty store inside Kohl's.

Kohl’s Corporation plans to close one of its 25 Massachusetts department stores after the holiday season and lay off nearly 80 people who work at the location.
