Nintendo’s announcement of the Switch successor is imminent. Just how imminent is anyone’s guess with the company stating that it would reveal info on the console before the end of its fiscal year in March.

Leaked documents suggest that Nintendo was planning to implement a Virtual Console system for the Nintendo Switch similar to its predecessors.

The Switch Virtual Console - codenamed "Clipper" - supposedly began development "around 2015" and was a collaboration between iQue and M2, with the possible involvement of other teams, like NERD. It was believed to "basically" be Virtual Console with a "free monthly game" for NSO subscribers.
