After around three and a half years, Pat Gelsinger is stepping down as Intel CEO and retiring from the industry.

In the interim, the US chip giant will be led by CFO David Zisner and Michelle Johnston Holthaus, the head of Intel products.

Intel has announced that its CEO Pat Gelsinger will retire after less than four years as the company's head executive.
