Officials say damaging winds with gusts possibly up to 80 mph could lead to potential fire conditions in parts of Los Angeles and Southern California.

Meanwhile, a "particularly dangerous situation" red flag warning is also in place from 10 p.m. Monday through 2 p.m. Tuesday in those same areas due to Santa Ana winds, low humidity and extremely dry vegetation.

Thousands of people could be without power due to the strong winds that are expected to batter Southern California in coming days.
