Unlike its recent games, Intergalactic will be a much more open-ended affair. The new retro-inspired game will have players take on the role of a bounty hunter, a far cry from the protagonists of its previous games. Intergalactic is the first new IP from Naughty Dog in over a decade.

Naughty Dog, a Sony-owned studio, is known for its elaborate adventure games with cinematic principles, like The Last of Us and Uncharted. Troy Baker, who played Joel in The Last of Us games, is signed on to play the protagonist of this new project.
